November 2008 - Personal Oxygen and Puppy Bucket & Donny Choonara

Good gig at the Frog and Fiddle.

I caught excellent pop duo Personal Oxygen and the irrepressible Puppy Bucket and Donny Choonara.

I've seen and heard lot of local bands over the past year - Personal Oxygen are probably the "most likely to succeed" in the wider commercial music world (rather than within a genre like Blues or Punk).

Subtone, September 08 - Jim Lockey, Midnight Mile, Ezekeial Butler, The Divine Secret, Void

Gig at Subtone to showcase a range of local bands, and Void (from Wales).

The sound was geared towards the rock side, and the softer acts were a bit let down - but I was impressed, esp by Midnight Mile and Ezekiel Butler, who I would love to see again in an environment more set up for their sound.

The Divine Secret were also very tight, and their sound was better catered for.

At Subtone, September 08.

The sound and light for this gig was really set up for the rock acts headlining, and didn't really work for the softer acts.
